Why Join The Competition Team?
1. Dance Friends Are The BEST Friends
Our competition team fosters lifelong friendships and community. We pride ourselves on our team atmosphere and camaraderie. Being a united TEAM is always our biggest success.
2. Improve Your Skills and Technique
Dancing competitively provides incentive to work hard in class and rehearsals. Going out on a stage and performing in front of an audience and judges motivates dancers to always give their all in class and in rehearsals. The amount of training required for competition team dancers allows them to grow in their skills and in their technique. Dancing competitively also strengthens dancers performance skills.
3. Learn Life Lessons Beyond The Studio
Not only are competitive dancers physically and mentally strong, but they also develop skills that will help them outside of the studio in their personal lives as well. Dancers learn discipline, work ethic, time management, how to receive constructive criticism, team work, goal setting, and learning how to win and lose gracefully.
4. It's FUN!
Imagine spending an entire weekend doing what you're passionate about with your best friends. The memories made are priceless. Competition provides opportunity for team bonding, watching performances from other dance studios, engaging in exciting awards ceremonies and meeting new people who share the same passion for dance.
5. Build Confidence
Being on the competition team requires dancers to get on stage and perform in front of crowds. This pushes dancers to get out of their comfort zones, both in the studio and outside of the studio. The encouragement from your teammates as well as your instructors helps dancers realize that they are capable of more than they even thought possible. We are here to help every dancer discover their full potential.
