ACROBATICS
What Is Acro?
Acro takes a dancer’s versatility to the next level. Unlike gymnastics, which is built for spring floors and judges' scorecards, Acro is designed for the stage. It’s a fun, safe blend of dance technique and tumbling. We focus heavily on proper progression—building strong cores, deep flexibility, and solid balance first—so dancers can learn cool tricks like backbends, cartwheels, and walkovers safely. It’s the ultimate training ground for strength, control, and stage presence.
Core Pillars of Acro
-
Flexibility & Extension: Developing deep back, shoulder, and hip mobility to safely execute backbends, chest stands, and walkovers.
-
Strength & Stability: Building targeted core, shoulder, and leg strength to hold inversions, handstands, and partner lifts.
-
Seamless Transitions: Learning how to enter and exit athletic skills without interrupting the flow or story of the choreography.
-
Safe Progression: Mastering foundational mat work before advancing to aerial elements, ensuring proper technique and injury prevention.

We Are Acrobatic Arts Certified!
Revival Dance Project is an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio! Our curriculum follows a proven, step-by-step progression. We don't rush tricks before a dancer is ready. Dancers build strong cores, safe back flexibility, and solid balance first—giving them the physical foundation to learn backbends, walkovers, and aerials safely and with total confidence.
